Meteora DLMM and positions

Term Meaning
DLMM Meteora’s Dynamic Liquidity Market Maker pool. Liquidity sits in discrete price bins, and only the bin containing the current price takes part in trades
Bin One price bin in a DLMM. A position covers a contiguous run of bins
Bin step The price difference between adjacent bins, in basis points (1 bp = 0.01%). The larger the step, the wider the price range the same number of bins covers
Active bin The bin containing the current price. It holds both tokens, and trades happen here
Bin array The on-chain account in which DLMM stores bins in segments. When a range covers a price segment no one in the pool has used yet, a new bin array must be initialized first; its rent is not refunded
Range The price range a position covers, set by upper and lower bounds on the base asset’s price
Out of range The current price has left the position’s range. The position is then entirely in one token and no longer earns fees
Spot / Curve / Bid-Ask How liquidity is distributed within the range: even / concentrated near the current price / concentrated at both ends of the range
Two-sided Liquidity on both sides of the current price; needs both tokens
One-sided Liquidity only below the current price (buying with the quote token) or above it (selling the base asset); needs only one token. One-sided positions do not include the active bin
Layers / bands One plan split into several ranges (up to 4), with the amount allocated across them by weight
Quote asset The side of the pool used for pricing, for example USDC in SOL-USDC
Base asset The side of the pool being priced, for example SOL in SOL-USDC
Reset range Remove a position that is out of range and reopen it at the current price. For positions in your wallet it takes two signatures; an Agent does it itself by its rules
Compound Add claimed fees back into the position
Swap back After exiting, sell the non-quote tokens received back into the quote token (general setting Swap back leftovers after exit); amounts below the Skip dust below threshold are not swapped
Top-up When a two-sided open or range reset is missing one token, first swap from the other token to make it up; the position is opened only after the swap is confirmed
Fees/TVL Pool fees over a period as a percentage of the pool’s total value locked; measures fee output per unit of capital
Impermanent loss The position’s current value minus the value of “just holding the two tokens you opened with”, excluding fees
vs. holding The difference between the position’s current value (including fees) and the value of just holding the two tokens you opened with. When marked “*”, the amounts at open are unknown, and the amounts Alokumi first observed are used
Entry price For positions in your wallet, the average deposit price (the pool price at open for a single-sided position funded only with the quote token); for Agent positions, the pool price at open
Cost / principal For positions in your wallet, Meteora’s per-position deposits − withdrawals; for Agent positions, the value invested at open. When unavailable it shows “Entry cost unknown” and no PnL
PnL Current value + unclaimed fees + claimed fees − cost, the same basis as Meteora

See your positions

Term Meaning
My wallet / My wallets Your own Solana wallets. Once you sign to prove one is yours, its Meteora positions are brought in automatically; managed under Settings → My wallets
Source Where a row in the positions table comes from: Agent, My wallet, Copied from smart money
To do The one list on Home of things to handle: position alerts, smart-money moves, Watch-mode opportunity cards, semi-automatic confirmations. See Alerts and To do
Manual-position rules The default rules for imported wallet positions: exit at a 15% loss, suggest a range reset after 30 minutes out of range

Copy Agent & smart money

Term Meaning
Smart money The weekly leaderboard of Meteora LP wallets that made money, with enough samples and recent activity. See How the leaderboard works
Copyability Whether a Copy Agent can follow a wallet: Agent can copy / Can’t copy (with the reason)
Copying a position Opening a position in the same pool and range as theirs with your own wallet; tagged “Copied from …” in your positions table. See Copying a position

Strategies and agents

Term Meaning
Agent A strategy compiled from a prompt, plus a run mode
Strategy prompt The original text of your approach that you wrote on the new-agent page. The agent uses it as its main instruction every round
Your own words The original prompt text saved on the agent’s Strategy tab
Check strategy Have the AI read the whole prompt and produce the elements table and the compiled strategy
Strategy elements Each item the check found, with the matching words from your prompt. Required: pool universe, range and shape, funds, stop loss and exit; the agent can’t be created if any is missing. Suggested: pool filters, entry timing, open positions, out-of-range handling, take profit, hold time, compounding, risk exclusions
General settings Check frequency, slippage, principal between positions, swapping between SOL and USDC, swap back, retries, daily action limit, Telegram alerts. Values changed in the panel are not overridden by the prompt
Hard boundaries The parts enforced by a deterministic engine that the AI cannot change: total budget, quote token, named token lists, the platform safety floor, the stop-loss and max hold you wrote, the backstop stop-loss, general settings, and so on. See Security
Backstop stop-loss The stop-loss line the platform hard-enforces when a prompt agent has no stop-loss written; 30% loss by default; writing your own stop-loss line or “no stop loss” in the prompt replaces or disables it
Completeness score A score the old creation flow used to judge whether boundaries were fully written. It does not rate how good a strategy is or predict returns. The current new-agent page doesn’t score; whether an agent can be created depends only on whether all required elements are present and the settings are valid
What it would do The card at step 3 of New Agent: dry run on the left, backtest on the right. See What it would do
Dry run The Agent runs one full cycle on live market data and tells you what it would open now; no orders
Backtest Your rules replayed on the past 14 days (or 30 / 90) of real market data, estimating fees, impermanent loss and net result. Not a forecast
Official risk level Three rule sets maintained by the platform: Steady / Balanced / Aggressive; you only enter an amount. See Start with an official level
Pre-check gate Before a paper-funds management round calls the model, it’s compared with the model’s last hold decision; with no change worth a new judgment, a hold is recorded without calling the model. See How it decides
Decision scoring Each open is evaluated afterwards against leaving the money idle; the Agent page shows “N opens evaluated, X% better than doing nothing”
Funnel Starting from all pools, the number of pools left as each condition is added
Safety check (Gate) A deterministic check before opening a position on data freshness, liquidity, fees, token prices, and token risk; if it fails, no position is opened
Manual review An action whose on-chain outcome cannot be proven automatically. Until the review is complete, this agent opens no new positions and the related positions pause automatic actions; other positions are managed as usual

Modes

Term Meaning
Watch Watch only when creating: scan pools according to the strategy and send opportunity cards; you open from your own wallet and it tracks the position with suggestions, never trading or touching funds on its own
Opportunity card The card that goes to To do when Watch mode finds a match: pool, reasoning, suggested plan, expiry time
Open with wallet Open a position from an opportunity card with your own wallet. The funds stay in your wallet the whole time and the platform doesn’t sign; afterward the position is tracked with alerts. See One-click actions and signing
Execute Automatically open, reset ranges, compound, and exit positions according to the strategy
Paper funds Run with virtual funds equal to the total budget, on real market data; fees and fills are estimates
Real funds Run with the funds you deposited into the Vault. Moving from paper funds to real funds is called Use real funds
Referral code / referral program Every account’s own 8-character code. The invitee gets 25% off the platform fee; the referrer gets 20% of the invitee’s platform fee, paid weekly in USDC. See Referral program
Fully automatic How real funds run: automatically by the rules, and you are notified afterward
Semi-automatic Real-funds actions such as opening and resetting ranges are first sent to the web and Telegram, and run only after you confirm; protective exits such as stop-loss don’t wait for confirmation. No longer offered for newly enabled real funds during the public beta
Emergency stop An account-level switch: stops pool scanning and opening new positions for all agents, while stop-loss and exits for existing positions run as usual

Funds

Term Meaning
On-chain registration The one-time transaction confirmed on your first wallet sign-in: a small public account recording your wallet and, optionally, your referrer. About 0.0015 SOL of rent, not refundable; no funds, no Vault, no trading permission
Principal between positions Where an Agent keeps its money between positions: the pool’s quote token (default) or USDC
Swap between SOL and USDC Real funds: when the Vault holds only one of SOL / USDC and the pool is quoted in the other, swap before opening and swap back after the exit. On by default
Vault An on-chain program account, one per real-funds agent, owned by your wallet; only you can withdraw. Currently an unaudited test deployment. See Use real funds
Owner wallet The wallet, linked to your account, that was used to create the Vault; the only wallet that can deposit to, withdraw from, and pause the Vault
keeper The platform’s execution key. It can only operate positions in the Vault according to the strategy and cannot move funds out
Rent reserve An account next to the Vault holding your own SOL. It pays position rent (refunded on close) and new bin array rent (not refunded), and reimburses transaction fees fronted by the platform (at most 0.01 SOL per day)
Platform fee The platform takes a percentage only from claimed fees, never from principal; the rate is the lowest of the rate you agreed to when creating the Vault, the platform’s global rate, and the pool’s tier rate, and changes go through a 48-hour timelock. See Fees
Platform fee (0.2%) When you act from your own wallet and we swap for you, 0.2% of the swapped amount
Dedicated wallet A custodial wallet the platform generated for early real-funds agents before the Vault launched. These agents can migrate to a Vault
My wallets Your own browser wallets, managed under Settings → My wallets, used for creating a Vault, depositing, and withdrawing
