The same rules can run in three modes. Paper funds and real funds use the same execution logic; only the source of the money differs. What an Agent does each round is in How it decides.
| Mode | Suits | Funds | Who signs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Execute · Paper funds | Trying out rules | Virtual funds equal to the total budget, not on-chain | Nothing on-chain |
| Execute · real funds | Rules you’ve run on paper and trust | Money you deposit in your own on-chain Vault | The platform’s execution service, within the Vault program’s limits; no per-action signature from you |
| Watch · you trade by hand | Opening and managing positions yourself | Your own wallet | Your wallet, every time |
You pick at step 4 of New Agent (Start on paper funds / Use real funds / Watch only). Later, click Switch mode at the top right of the Agent page (Start executing for an Agent in Watch mode) and choose in Choose a run mode. Execution requires ticking a risk acknowledgement. Close open positions before switching.
Paper funds
- Virtual funds stay off-chain and equal the strategy’s total budget.
- Real market data and real pool data; opens pass the same safety checks and sell stress test.
- Swaps at open are booked at real Jupiter quotes and network fees are counted; fees are estimated from your share of the bins price crossed, after the protocol share and the platform fee tier. Results are still estimates, not real returns.
- During the public beta, paper-fund Agents run a full round at most every 10 minutes, and each round’s AI decision doesn’t count toward your daily AI calls, only toward the platform’s AI capacity; when that runs out, the AI round is skipped while stop losses and exits keep running. See Troubleshooting.
- Every number is labeled Paper funds.
Run on paper funds for a while first and check that the pools it picks, how often it resets ranges and when it exits match your expectations, then consider real funds.
Real funds
After switching to real funds, the Agent shows Awaiting deposit. On its Funds tab, create a Vault and deposit in five steps; it starts automatically once the funds arrive, with no review. See Use real funds.
Limits are issued from the values in your strategy; the platform sets no per-user amount cap. If you later edit the prompt and change the budget or limits, the authorization is reissued automatically when you save.
Semi-automatic (not offered during the public beta)
Newly switched real funds are fully automatic only. Agents that were already semi-automatic still see Fully automatic / Semi-automatic · confirm each action in Choose a run mode and can switch back to fully automatic.
| Fully automatic | Semi-automatic | |
|---|---|---|
| Opens, range resets, compounds, take profit, max-hold exits, early AI exits | Run directly, you’re told afterwards | Go to To do and Telegram first; run only after you confirm |
| Stop loss, unsafe token, your close request and other protective exits | Run directly | Run directly, no confirmation |
Confirming takes two clicks (Execute → Confirm …); rejecting takes one. Open requests are valid for about 10 minutes and confirm the terms (pool, maximum amount, how the range is set); after you confirm, the platform reruns the safety checks and opens at the current price, with the amount only ever smaller. Management actions are valid for about 5 minutes and follow the frozen plan. A rejected or expired proposal isn’t sent again for a while.
The Agent page
An executing Agent’s tabs are Overview, Positions, Strategy and Funds; a Watch-mode Agent only has Overview and Strategy.
Status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Running | Scanning or executing on schedule |
| Paused | You paused it, or it paused itself after Close all positions finished |
| Awaiting deposit | Real funds, waiting for your deposit |
| Starting | Funds arrived; balances and risk controls are being checked, usually starting within a minute |
| To do | The last round didn’t complete, or there’s a live alert; details in To do on Home |
| Closing | You asked to close all positions; it pauses itself when done |
Numbers at the top of Overview
| Number | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Net PnL | A scrubbable chart, 7 days by default. Paper funds = funds value − starting funds; real funds = each position’s realized PnL, or “value + fees − cost − trading costs”, summed. Opens that failed before broadcasting never count |
| Total fees | Estimated from pool fees for paper funds, Settled for real funds |
| Funds | This Agent’s funds value; the return below = net PnL ÷ principal invested |
| Open | Current positions / the most allowed at once. For an Agent with your own rules this is the authorization limit; how many positions and how much each is up to the Agent and your prompt |
Under Exit review there’s a decision-score line, for example “Last 30 days (paper funds): N opens evaluated, X% better than doing nothing”; how it’s computed is in How it decides · Decision scoring.
Timeline
The timeline has three views: By position (default), By time and Issues only. Each event says what happened and why in one sentence; rule-triggered events start with Rule: , AI decisions with AI: , and open events state what was actually executed: shape, range and amount. Checks with no action (“keep holding”, “no open this round”) aren’t logged one by one; a group ends with Checked N more times since then; nothing needed action.
Quotas, waits and issues
- Daily action limit (unlimited by default): when a real-funds Agent uses up its actions for the past 24 hours, the Agent page says when it resumes; until then it doesn’t open or adjust positions. Exits aren’t limited, and swap-backs don’t count.
- Manual review: in the rare case a transaction’s status is unclear (broadcast but no result), that action stops for the platform to review, and the affected positions show Needs manual review. During review nothing new opens and the affected positions aren’t touched; all other positions are managed as usual, including stop losses. The platform never resends such a transaction automatically.
- Stall alert: when a real-funds Agent hasn’t completed a round in 15 minutes, the timeline and Telegram get Agent stopped checking positions, followed by Agent is running again when it recovers.
- Daily report: real-funds Agents send a 24-hour report every day (the Daily summary switch in Telegram settings).
- When the last round didn’t complete, the top of the Agent page says why and it retries automatically; it also appears in To do on Home.
Pausing, closing and deleting
| Action | Where | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Pause / Resume | Top right of the Agent page | While paused nothing new opens. Open positions are still checked and stop losses still run; with real funds, range resets and compounding stop too. Resume restarts it right away |
| Close all positions | More on the Agent page | Exits every position at the next check, opens nothing new, and pauses itself when done |
| Switch mode | Top right of the Agent page | Switch between Watch, paper funds and real funds. Close positions first; not available during an emergency stop |
| Delete Agent | More → Delete Agent | Can’t be undone. Refused while there are positions, a pending withdrawal, or any balance in the funds address / Vault; close and withdraw everything first |
| Emergency stop | Settings → Danger zone | Immediately stops pool scanning and new positions for every Agent in the account; stop losses and exits on open positions still run. Lift emergency stop to resume |
With real funds you can also pause the Vault or disable the platform keeper yourself on the Funds tab, and exit and withdraw yourself if the platform has a problem; see Use real funds · Emergency exit.
