Use real funds

Real funds sit in your own on-chain Vault — the five steps to use real funds (costs, wallet, Vault, deposit, verify), the rent reserve, withdrawing, the emergency exit, and the numbers on the Funds tab and Funds page.

Only Execute · real funds needs a deposit. Viewing positions, the smart-money leaderboard, Watch mode and paper funds involve no on-chain funds.

Where the funds are

Each real-funds Agent has its own on-chain Vault (a Solana program account) owned by your bound wallet:

  • only the owner wallet can withdraw from the Vault, only to your own wallet, with no approval;
  • the platform’s execution service (keeper) can only open, close, claim fees and swap per your strategy, and funds can only come back to the Vault; every risk-adding action (open, add, swap) also needs an on-chain co-signature from the platform’s risk service;
  • the platform only takes a share of the LP fees claimed, never of the principal in your positions; depositing to and withdrawing from the Vault each cost 0.1% of the amount; see Fees;
  • if the platform is paused or down, you can still claim fees, close positions and withdraw yourself.

One Vault per Agent, each independent.

Five steps to real funds

Click Use real funds at step 4 of New Agent, or choose Execute · real funds in an existing Agent’s Switch mode, and tick the risk acknowledgement. The Agent goes to Awaiting deposit; open its Funds tab, where the top reads Use real funds · step N of 5:

  1. Costs

    Before you sign anything, every cost of going live is listed: the strategy capital (deposited into the Vault, still yours), the Vault account rent (one-time, about 0.004 SOL; closing a Vault isn’t available on the web yet, so it isn’t refundable for now), rent for each open position (refunded on close), rent for new price ranges (bin arrays, not refunded), network fees (capped per day) and the SOL suggested to keep in the Vault. The last line says what to prepare today. Click Continue.

  2. Wallet

    Connect your wallet and sign the first time: proof that the wallet is yours. It’s a message signature, not a transaction: it moves no money and costs nothing. This wallet becomes the Vault owner, the only wallet that can withdraw.

  3. Vault

    Sign the second time: Create Vault with this wallet. The platform fee table is shown before you create it (see Fees). After creation it’s verified on-chain, usually within half a minute.

  4. Deposit

    Deposit the token the strategy trades with (USDC / USDT / SOL; see Which token to deposit) and some SOL for rent and network fees. Each deposit is one wallet signature; the money goes into your Vault, not to the platform. The page checks your wallet and Vault balances and tells you what’s still missing to fund the full budget (To fund the full budget, deposit …). SOL deposits are wrapped to wSOL in the same transaction.

    Minimum to start: the Agent starts only once the Vault holds at least 300 USDC, 300 USDT or 3 SOL. One token has to reach its amount on its own; different tokens don’t add up. Depositing SOL, USDC or USDT carries a 0.1% fee taken out of the amount (the dialog shows the fee and what goes into the Vault before you sign); the minimum counts what reaches the Vault after the fee.

  5. Verify

    Once funds arrive, the platform checks balances and risk controls (usually about 30 seconds) and starts the Agent automatically, with no manual review. The Agent runs its first round within a few minutes, then at its check frequency. The timeline records Started running automatically with real funds.

Completed steps can be reopened (for example to review the cost list); later steps can’t be skipped. Depositing, withdrawing and pausing all require the owner wallet; if another wallet is connected, the page tells you which address to switch to.

Use real funds · step 1 of 5: every cost before you sign

Three things stay true at every step (also listed beside the wizard):

  • you can withdraw idle funds from the Vault to your own wallet any time, with no approval, even while the Vault or the platform is paused;
  • the Agent can only manage positions inside your Vault (open, close, swap, claim fees); funds can’t go anywhere except back to the Vault, apart from the platform fee on claimed fees and capped daily network-fee reimbursements;
  • in an emergency you can sign yourself to close every position and withdraw everything, even if the platform is down (as long as Meteora itself is working).

Which token to deposit

Deposit what the strategy’s pools are quoted in. Two general settings change what that means:

  • Swap between SOL and USDC (on by default): if the Vault holds only SOL and a pool is quoted in USDC (or the other way round), the Agent swaps the other token first, opens, and after the exit swaps back to the token you deposited. Each swap costs slippage and fees, and swaps inside the Vault carry no Alokumi fee. When it’s off, pools quoted in a token the Vault doesn’t hold are skipped and the timeline tells you which token to deposit.
  • Principal between positions: USDC: opens swap USDC into the pool’s tokens and exits swap both back to USDC, so deposit USDC. With real funds this trades USDC pools only, or SOL pools too when Swap between SOL and USDC is on.

You can change both under Change rules when creating, or on the Agent’s Strategy tab. Tokens with a transfer fee of up to 3% can be traded, with amounts adjusted for the fee; tokens with a higher or unknown transfer fee are refused.

Rent reserve

Opening a position on Solana costs account rent, and a range reaching price levels nobody has used yet also initializes new bin arrays. You pay these, from the rent reserve next to your Vault:

Use Amount (approx.) Refunded?
Position account rent About 0.04 SOL per position Back to the reserve on close
New bin array rent About 0.07 SOL each No, it belongs to the pool
Vault token accounts About 0.002 SOL each —
Network fee reimbursement The platform pays transaction fees first and is reimbursed from the reserve Capped on-chain at 0.01 SOL per Vault per day
  • When the reserve runs short, the platform tops it up from the Vault’s SOL before opening, after checking the Vault still has enough SOL for the open itself.
  • The SOL in the reserve is yours: Rent reserve is shown under Vault balances on the Funds tab, and with the owner wallet connected you can Withdraw it any time.
  • Even if your strategy is USDC-quoted, keep some SOL in the Vault; if the Vault’s SOL can’t cover a position and its rent, that round doesn’t open and the timeline says so.

Withdrawing

  1. To take everything out, first More → Close all positions on the Agent page and wait until positions are closed and the Agent pauses itself. Money in positions isn’t in the Vault balance until it’s exited.
  2. On the Funds tab click Withdraw, pick the token and amount, or click All ….
  3. Sign in the owner wallet. Withdrawals only go to your own wallet; SOL is unwrapped automatically. Withdrawing SOL, USDC or USDT carries a 0.1% fee taken out of the amount; the dialog shows the fee and what arrives (see Fees).

To delete the Agent, close all positions and withdraw every balance first; if an empty balance can’t be confirmed within the last 10 minutes, deletion is refused; try again shortly.

Emergency exit

Everything under Emergency exit (no platform needed) is signed by your wallet, step by step, and works whatever happens to the platform:

Button What it does
Exit positions yourself (N) For each position: claim fees → remove liquidity → close the position; funds return to the Vault
Withdraw all Sends every token in the Vault back to your wallet (SOL unwrapped), then withdraws the rent reserve
Disable platform keeper After this the platform can’t do anything with this Vault, including exits; Re-enable platform keeper turns it back on

Multi-step actions go one transaction at a time: the next is prepared only after the previous confirms; a failure stops where it is, and completed steps aren’t repeated.

Pause on the Vault card is an on-chain pause: the platform can no longer open, add or swap, while exits and your own withdrawals are unaffected. It’s different from Pause at the top of the Agent page, which stops the Agent running automatically. Before exiting yourself, pause the Agent or the Vault, or the Agent may reopen at its next round.

The Funds tab and the Funds page

An Agent’s Funds tab (shown only in execution modes):

  • Paper funds: Starting funds and Idle cash, not on-chain.
  • Real funds: the real-funds setup progress (hidden once all five steps are done), Your on-chain Vault (address, owner, platform fee cap, Platform keeper status, open positions, Vault balances, rent reserve and actions), Emergency exit, and on the right Performance fee history and the program address. Vault balances are read live from the chain.

The Funds page in the navigation sums up every executing Agent, with real funds and paper funds in separate sections:

Number Meaning
Real funds · total Funds value of real-funds Agents
In positions Value of current positions, with its share of the total
Idle Total minus in positions: what’s in the Vault but not in a position
Real funds · net PnL Excludes paper funds

If any Agent’s value is unavailable, the matching total shows “—” rather than adding a zero. Your own browser wallets are under Settings → My wallets, not here.

Dedicated wallets of early Agents

Agents that went live before the Vault existed hold funds in a dedicated wallet the platform created for them. Their Funds tab shows Move to your own on-chain Vault at the top: bind a wallet, create a Vault, and once it’s verified click Start move; the Agent closes all positions, transfers the dedicated wallet’s tokens into your Vault one by one, and runs from the Vault once everything has arrived. Once transfers start, the move can’t be cancelled.
